Family keeps soldier’s memory alive through his letters home

Philip Lindwurm was the youngest of eight children, and when drafted into the army on February 5, 1952, he sent letters regularly to them all, as well as to his mother; his father preceded him in death by a year. Two of his sisters, Esther (Braun) and Alvina (Wonnenberg) saved all the letters they received from their brother while he was in the army.

Koenig erects memorial to the military
