She will be remembered for a kind heart, unwavering love by the many lives she touched through generosity and grace.

She cherished time spent with family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, especially with her mom to Las Vegas, visiting her sister in Arizona, and going to the stock shows. She actively served as a volunteer on the Witten Fire Department for many years. She could always be found on a fire truck for the July 3 fireworks. She also found time to celebrate birthdays in Pierre or Chamberlain or taking a drive for supper.

Amy attended one year of school in Herrick, then transferred to Burke, where she graduated High School in 1989. Over the years, Amy worked at Mr. G’s for 11 years, Casey’s in Winner for five, and McDonald’s for over 20 years.

Todd and Amy started dating when Todd’s mother was in the Gregory Hospital and Amy was working at Mr. G’s. Amy married Todd Moeller on February 3, 2001, in Rapid City, South Dakota. The couple moved to Witten and lived there until her death.

Amy passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.

She is survived by her husband Todd; her mother Donna (Shope) Smizer; her sister Angie (John) Wortman; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Duane Robert Smizer.
