Funeral services for Bryon James Vogt were held Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at the auditorium in Naper with Pastor John Nelson officiating. Casket bearers were members of the Naper Volunteer Fire Department.
Interment was at Knollcrest Cemetery in Naper, NE. Clausen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Bryon James Vogt was born on January 21, 1963, in Burke, SD, and passed away on January 14, 2025, at his home in Naper, NE, at the age of 61. Bryon was born to Julius “Fritz” and Joy (Helenbolt) Vogt of Naper, NE. He grew up with his parents, brothers Eldon, Vernon, Gordon, Lyndon, and sister Leanne on a farm west of Naper. Bryon graduated from Naper High School in 1981 and then worked at Butte Implement and Wilson Seeds for a time. He then farmed and ranched near Naper.
On July 27, 1985, Bryon was united in marriage to Sharon Kae Sattler, and to this union three children were born. They lived near Naper, where they farmed and ranched and raised their family.
Throughout his life, Bryon was a member of the Naper Volunteer Fire Department. He served on the school board and helped with many Naper community projects over the years.
Bryon is survived by his wife Sharon and their three children and their families—daughter Heidi and Shelby Melton of Naper, NE, son Ryon and Emma Vogt of Naper, NE, daughter Holly and Willie Drueke of O’Neill, NE—and grandchildren Aaron, Landon, Jameson, Grayson, Hadley, Alaina, Wes, Hodge, and Hadi.
He is also survived by his siblings Eldon and Machele Vogt of North Platte, NE, Vernon and Deb Vogt of Naper, NE, Gordon and Sharon Vogt of Winside, NE, Leanne and Louis Bill Donnason of Kingman, AZ, and Lyndon and Kara Vogt of Grand Island, NE, as well as his motherin- law Mabel Sattler of Naper, NE, and many brother/sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Bryon is preceded in death by his parents Julius and Joy, infant sister Jolene, and father-in-law Jim Sattler.
