Carmon Dee Thompson was born on February 14, 1955, to Willis and Dora (Doan) Thompson in Welch, OK.
Carmon was a twin and had sixteen brothers and sisters. Carmon grew up in Oklahoma and went to a trade school where he learned to make cabinets and used his skills at a cabinet factory. He later went back to school where he received a BA and became a social worker.
Carmon also served his country in the Navy, enlisting on March 27, 1972, serving until he was honorably discharged.
When his health started to fail, he moved to Gregory, SD, to be near his son Michael.
Carmon passed away unexpectedly on March 31, 2024, at the Avera Gregory Healthcare Center, at the age of 69.
Carmon is survived by his son Michael Thompson and special friend Jamie Esterling, his twin brother Eddie Thompson, and his sisters Doris Kelloge and Faye Meadows.
Carmon is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter Jennifer Thompson; and many of his sisters and brothers.
