Nola Grim

Nola Jean Grim was born on September 7, 1957, to Leonard “Ray” and Irene (Stahlecker) Grim in Gregory, SD. She was the fifth-born child in a family of ten. She grew up on the family farm six miles south of Gregory. Nola attended Gordan School District #46 until the 6th grade and then attended Gregory Public School, where she graduated in 1975. Nola enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially at the farm, and had a great love for her family and friends. She built a life centered on the people she loved. She had a quiet strength with a deep sense of compassion and generosity, and poured her heart into everything she did. She found joy in the simple pleasures in life, and her vibrant spirit and boundless kindness touched countless lives. Her memory will be cherished, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Nola passed away in Gregory on April 2, 2025, at the age of 67 years. Nola is survived by her siblings: Rich (Sara) Grim, Randy Grim, Jan Schrader, Darwin (Kerri) Grim, Tina (Corey) Kaltenberg, sister-inlaw Nancy Grim, brother-in-law Delbert Klein, special friend Harland Clark, and many nieces and nephews.

Nola was preceded in death by her parents Leonard “Ray” and Irene; her grandparents; her brothers Larry, Rodney, and Danny; her sister Patricia Klein; and infant siblings Dennis and Cheryl.
