Sage Clifton Eagle Star was born June 14, 1995, in Rapid City, SD, to Stan and Della (Stoneman) Eagle Star. Sage grew up in the Gregory area, including Dixon, with his parents, older siblings, aunties, cousins, and his beloved grandmother Constance. He spent his spare time playing basketball, football, riding his bike, or at the swimming pool having fun. He enjoyed his time in Dixon with his family.

Sage attended school in Gregory. After high school, he met Marcie Chasing Hawk. Their son, his pride and joy, Alikaih Legend, was born October 2017. When Alikaih was two years old, the two of them moved back to Gregory with Sage’s mother and brother Ted. Sage worked for Coach’s Lawn Care and VanO’s Sanitation.

Most of all Sage loved being a single father and spending time with his baby boy.

Sage was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on April 30, 2026. Even though his life was way too short, he will always live on in our hearts and our memories with his contagious smile and laugh. Sage was a jokester. He loved those who loved him.

Sage is survived by his son Alikaih; his mother Della Stoneman Eagle Star; his older siblings Angel, Ed, Lucy, Ted, and Sidney Eagle Star; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Sage is preceded in death by his father Stanley; grandparents Edward and Constance Eagle Star and Charles and Melda Stoneman; and his beloved niece Cherish Elaine Rose Flood.
