Shirley Veskrna

A family-held memorial service for Shirley Kay Veskrna was held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, April 25, 2025, at the Bible Believer’s Baptist Church in Joplin, MO. Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory was in charge of arrangements. Shirley was born on July 29, 1969 in Gregory, SD, daughter of Bob (Robert) and Carol (Henneman) Veskrna. She attended high school in Gregory, SD, for a couple of years where she made lasting friendships . Shirley married James Isbell. To this union were born Derek,Christian, and Casey. She moved to Webb City, Missouri where she worked for the United States Postal Service.

She enjoyed hunting wild morel mushrooms, vacations at a beach, and her grandchildren. She had such a positive outlook on life, always trying something new.

Shirley Kay Veskrna, age 55, of Webb City, MO, died on Friday, April 18, 2025, in Joplin, MO.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bob, her mother Carol, her late husband James Isbell, grandparents, Gus and Evelyn Veskrna, and grandparents Howard and Laura Henneman.

Shirley is survived by Derek Isbell and wife Janae, Christian Isbell and wife Mishelle, and Casey Sherrouse and husband Joshua. Plus grandchildren and great grandchildren, and Uncle Allen Veskrna and wife Kimberly, aunts Judy Kuckleburg and husband John, Joyce Riley, Ann Gustafson and husband Roger, and cousins.

She will be deeply missed.
