Gorillas defeat Irene-Wakonda Eagles, to improve record to 1-1

The Gorillas had a strong night against Irene-Wakonda last Friday night at their first game at home. Quarterback Rylan Peck assisted in the team effort completing 5 of 7 passes to Gannon Thomas and Kade Stukel to help earn the Gorillas two TD’s and two 1st downs. Peck also rushed 9 times to gain 125 yards for an additional two touchdowns and five first downs. The Gorilla defense held the Eagles to six 1st downs and 137 yards of total offense. After a hard fought loss to the Wall Eagles (19-6) last week, Gregory defeated Irene-Wakonda 54-14 on Friday, August 27 at Mike Dacy field in Gregory. The win moves Gregory to 1-1 on the season.
