Gregory boys out of the gate quickly at Dan Lennon Invitational

The two-time defending Class B state boys track champions from Gregory opened their season with a number of quality performances at Tuesday’s Dan Lennon Invitational. Max Cook won the 400-Meter Dash (:54.32), Luke Barreto the 3,200-Meter run (10:34.18), Jhett Eklund the triple jump (40-7).

Jared Opp named one of NSU’s Leaders of the Pack

Jared Opp, band teacher for the Gregory School District, was named one of Northern State University’s Leaders of the Pack recently. In announcing their selection, NSU wrote that Opp considers his greatest achievement to be the ability to positively impact the communities he’s a part of.

Gorillas lose to Lyman by two in SoDak 16 championship

Gregory 56 vs. Lyman 58 In the Class B SoDak 16 matchup, the Gregory Gorillas saw their impressive season come to a close with a narrow 58-56 defeat to the Lyman Raiders at Todd County High School on Tuesday.

700 Region 3 AAU wrestlers compete in Wagner on March 14

Gregory Youth Wrestling fans navigated the snow packed roads and windy conditions to get to Wagner Saturday, March 14, 2025. Wrestling start time was pushed back an hour to ensure everyone made the trip safely. 700 youth wrestlers came to earn their bid to go to state.

Gregory 5th grade girls place first in Winner Quarterback tournament

The Gregory fifth grade girls basketball team of Meadow Wonnenberg, Addyson Dufrane, Mayme Reber, Avaya Vomacka, Averie Stukel, and Lydia Wonnenberg came out on top at the Quarterback Club round robin tournament in Winner on Saturday, March 9, 2025. They started the day with backto- back wins, first beating MRHS (Chamberlain Area) by a score of 15-5, followed by a 20-8 win over Winner. After a two-game break, the girls faced Burke and won by a 33-10 margin to win the tournament.
