Spikers head into post-season play as #2 seed in the region

The Lady Spikers wrapped up their regular season play on Monday, October 28, with a much-needed 3-2 win against Andes Central/Dakota Christian, clinching the #2 spot in the Region 5B tournament. Set scores were 25-18, 25-15, 16-25, 14-25, and 15-10.

Cheer & dance team is runner-up at state

Building on last year’s success at state, the Gregory competitive cheer and dance team brought home another plaque this year. The day started off with hip hop, the team’s strongest event.

SD ACT scores remain strong

South Dakota’s graduating class of 2024 earned an average ACT composite score of 21.1, well above the national average of 19.4, and the highest among neighboring states. The ACT is a standardized test used for college admissions in the United States which includes four academic skill areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science.

Spikers look strong in loss to Burke

The annual Dig Pink volleyball game between Gregory and Burke was held in Burke on Thursday, October 17. The Spikers lost in four sets to a highly ranked Burke team, 8-25, 25-22, 10-25, 10-25.

Gorillas end season with Parkston loss last Friday night

The Gorilla football team faced the number 1 ranked Parkston at home Friday night, October 18. The Lincoln Juracek-Colt Keiser duo managed to connect for three touchdowns and four first downs for a total of 151 yards throughout the game, but the rushing game was all but shut down for the Gorillas in the 68-18 loss.

Spikers have tough Homecoming week

The Gregory Spikers faced a tough Winner team at home on Tuesday, October 8, and lost their match in three sets, 19-25, 10-25, and 12-25.
