Over the weekend, the Gregory 2 Minors took home 3rd place in the Minors Rosebud League Tournament. In the first game, Gregory played Valentine White and took home a 11-0 win.

Wednesday’s rain might have gotten in the way of the Legion baseball game, but it didn’t dissuade the Turtle Race fanatics from carrying on with their annual hoopla. When you can’t get rabbits to cooperate, you turn to turtles to race for some big fun and fast money, and that’s just what this event delivered.

The Gregory 1 Rookies team won the championship trophy in the 16th annual Bob Haley memorial Rookie Classic in Winner, SD, June 29-30. This is the end of the year tournament for the Rosebud League. With solid pitching and a strong defense, the Gregory 1 team only allowed opposing teams to score in one inning during the entire tournament.

Gregory Teeners 8 Winner/Colome 4 The Gregory Teeners 16U ousted Winner/Colome Jr. Legion 8-4 on Wednesday, July 3.

Twenty seven four-person teams played 18 holes at the Independence Scramble Golf Tournament held at the Gregory Golf Course on Saturday, July 6, 2024. The weather for the tournament was beautiful and sunny with little to no wind, which is good for golfing.

Burke Bombers 6 Chamberlain Mallards 3 Hunter Van Niewenhuyse collected three hits in four at bats as the Burke Bombers defeated the Chamberlain Mallards 6-3 on Thursday, June 27. The Bombers were the first to get on the board in the first inning when Van Niewenhuyse doubled, scoring one run.

The Gregory Teeners 16U hosted the Valentine Juniors on Wednesday, June 26, and won 7-5 in a back-and-forth battle to the end. Valentine got on the board in the top of the first inning after Trace Buechle doubled and Isaac Utecht singled, each scoring one run.
