Saturday, June 29, 2024, was the 18th Annual Memorial Golf Tournament at the Gregory Golf Course with 74 two-person teams competing for the top three positions in four flights. All twelve place winners received $740.00 this year.

Despite seeing their 5-run lead whittled down by the end, Gregory County 18U held off for a 9-8 victory on Wednesday, June 26, at home against Valentine. Gregory County got on the board first in the bottom of the third inning after an error scored two runs and Rylan Peck hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

Keegan Shakes Up Pitch Rankings Justin Keegan seemingly out of nowhere has climbed to the top of the Gregory Golf Course Pitch Rankings. Justin accredited an aggressive bidding style and a no fear attitude.

Even though the Burke Bombers collected nine hits to the Winner Demons’s eight, they still fell 2-1 on Sunday, June 23, at home. Aaron Sundquist struck out 10 batters on the day.

Gregory Teeners 16U fell to Valentine 8-4 in Valentine Wednesday evening, June 19. Gregory was first to get on the board in the first inning when Landon Keiser tripled, scoring two runs.

Gannon Thomas struck out 11 batters as he led Gregory County Legion 18U past Valentine 1-0 on Wednesday, June 19, in Valentine. Thomas allowed only one hit and zero runs over seven innings while walking none.

The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has named Gregory Coach Kurt Stukel as their choice for 2024 High School Track & Field Coach of the Year for South Dakota.

Gregory Teeners 17 Stanley County 2 Jayder Schonebaum drove in four runs on two hits to lead the Gregory Teeners past Stanley County 17-2 at home on Wednesday, June 5. Jayder Schonebaum doubled in the second inning, scoring three runs and doubled in the second inning, scoring one.
