Gregory County JV fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 12-2 loss to Winner on Tuesday, May 17, at home. Gregory County struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Winner, giving up 12 runs.

Gregory County’s game against the Winner/Colome Royals at home on Tuesday, May 17, was a heartbreaker as they lost the lead late in a 6-5 defeat. Gregory County got things moving in the first inning, when Rylan Peck singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

On Friday, May 6th, the Gregory 5th-8th grade band students participated in the area instrumental solo music contest at Winner. Gregory had a total of 8 I+s, 40 Is, 8 I-s, 1 II+s, 19 IIs, and 2 IIIs for a total of 78 entries

Gregory High School students earning three sport letters for 2021-2022 were recognized during awards night held on Monday, May 9, 2022. Both Platte Killer Tomatoes and South Central Storm had their offenses going on Thursday, May 12, but the Storm eventually succumbed 17-7 in the high-scoring affair. The Storm struggled to contain the high-powered offense of the Killer Tomatoes, giving up 17 runs.

Gregory County 11 - Martin 2 An early lead helped Gregory County defeat Martin 11-2 on Monday. Gregory County scored on a home run by Rylan Peck in the first inning, a single by Bryce Frank in the second inning, and a fielder’s choice during Trey Murray’s at bat in the second inning.

The Gregory High School boys golf team claimed three of the top four spots to win the Bon Homme Golf Tournament on Friday, May 13, with 224 points. Platte finished second with 246, and Bon Homme came in third at their home course with 255. Burke ended the day with 268 for fourth place, followed by Scotland/Menno in fifth with 273.

Gregory hosted the SESD track meet on May 10, 2022. The weather finally cooperated and we were able to perform very well at this meet. It was definitely a day to set personal and season records and even school records.
