Gregory defeats Platte-Geddes for Homecoming victory, 28-8

The Gorillas improved their record to 4-3 on the season with a 28-8 Homecoming win against the Black Panthers of Platte-Geddes. Gregory scored first in the first quarter when Rylan Peck threw to Owen Hansen for a 24 yard touchdown reception.

Lady Spikers go 3-1 to end September schedule

Spikers have had a busy couple of weeks the last two weeks of September. They went to Todd Co. on 9-21 and won 3-0. The scores were 25-20, 25-9, 25-8. The girls worked hard to keep the pace of the game up and kept our unforced errors down. Jessy Jo lead us with 9 kills and 14 digs. Anna Dargatz served up 4 aces, and Brooklynn Kenzy had 6 kills, 9 digs, and set for 10 set assists.

Spikers go 1-1 last week

The Gregory Spikers volleyball team hosted White River Lady Tigers on Tuesday, September 28. The competition was tough as the two teams had to go to five sets to determine a winner, but ultimately the Tigers prevailed 3-2.

Cross country runners participate at Burke Invite

The Gregory cross country team participated in the Burke Invite on Thursday, September 29. In the varsity boy's division Luke Sinclair ran a personal best time of 17:34 which resulted in a 3rd place finish out of a field of 52 runners.

Gorilla gridders drop one to Wolsey-Wessington

The Gregory Gorillas football team was hosted by Wolsey-Wessington Friday, October 1. The Gorillas were first on the scoreboard when Eli Fogel kicked a 28-yard field goal in the second quarter.

Spikers add two wins in last week’s play

The Gregory Spikers volleyball team extended their record to 11-5 last week with wins over Todd County and Corsica-Stickney. Scores in the Todd County game were 25-20, 25-9, and 25-8.

Aberdeen police handling three missing person cases, one from 1979

There are currently 94 missing people in South Dakota, with 62 of those people, or about 65%, being Native Americans. The numbers demonstrate an epidemic of missing Indigenous people, especially from reservations.
