The Gregory boys golf team competed in Regions on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Lakeview Golf Course in Mitchell, SD. Cold and wet conditions proved to be challenging for the golfers. Luke Stukel placed 5th with an 80 and will advance to the state tournament. Luke will be golfing in Cattail Crossing in Watertown, SD on June 2 and 3, 2025.

The Gregory Gorilla track team traveled to Avon for the 5B last chance track meet. The boys came away with the team title. This track meet is no longer the qualifier for the state track meet rather the top

On Friday, May 9, 2025 the Gregory 5th-8th grade band students participated in the area instrumental solo music contest at Winner. Gregory had a total of 15 I+’s, 41 I’s, 18 I-‘s, 9 II+’s, and 3 II’s for a total of 86 entries Students prepared their solos over the last three months and had an opportunity to play for an audience and a judge to receive comments on how to improve as musicians and things they do well.

In the movie “Inside Out,” the character Anger is portrayed as a red faced, stocky character who lacks trust in his fellow emotions and is quick to blow up. Throughout the movie we literally see flames coming out of his head when he perceives a situation as unfair. Although we do not have literal flames coming out of our heads when we experience anger, it often may feel that way.

Memorial Day this year falls on Monday, May 26. It is always the last Monday of May.
