The ultimate mulligan: Easter’s gift of a new life

Have you ever done something or said something that you regret? Wouldn’t it be nice if we had an undo button in this life, or a mulligan. Unfortunately, that is not a reality, but the closest we can get to a “do over” is why Easter is celebrated. When we make mistakes or moments that go against God’s will, it is counted spiritually as sin. Hebrews 9:22 “Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.” Good Friday is when the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, shed the blood necessary for the forgiveness of our sins. And Easter is when we celebrate his resurrection, or his triumph over sin and death. “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.” – Romans 6:4 Paul is telling us in Romans that when we have a change of heart and live a life for God, Christ shed the blood for the ‘mulligans’ in our life. And just as Christ was raised from the dead, we too have a chance at a new life. Our mulligans, our I wish I had that to do over, and our sins, are erased. We have a chance at a new life, free from guilt of our mulligans. It starts by living for God and not us.

SSN launches online application process

As we continue improving how customers apply for and receive Social Security Number (SSN) cards, we are launching a streamlined online application process. This enhancement enables many customers to complete their applications fully online or begin the process online and schedule an in-office appointment if additional steps are required. We may ask customers to create or sign in to their personal my Social Security account as part of the application. If a customer is prompted to schedule an appointment with an office to complete the application, they may be directed to an email and password login screen to self-schedule their office visit. This initiative supports our ongoing commitment to providing secure, convenient service while improving efficiency and access.

Under the revised definition, the label applies only to beef derived from animals that were born, raised, slaughtered and processed entirely in the United States.
