R-CALF USA leadership traveled to Washington, D.C., last week for a series of meetings and events with administration officials and members of Congress. R-CALF USA met with administration officials and congressional offices to discuss issues impacting U.S.

District 21 Republican Candidate Forums are planned in the area. These are in preparation for the Primary election on June 2. They will be held on April 13, 2026 at Knotheads in Pickstown at 7 p.m.; Colome American Legion on April 20 at 7 p.m.; and God’s Country Campground Event Center on April 27 at 7 p.m..

Get ready to walk for a great cause! Gregory County Laps of Love & FFA are coming together to host our 2nd annual Walk-AThon to raise funds for Gregory County Laps of Love on Saturday, April 18th from 10:00 a.m 12:00 p.m. at the Gregory track. Area community members and students will be challenged to collect pledges for walking laps. Come for the morning or stop by for lunch. Concessions will be served.

The newly formed Wide Open Spaces Foundation announced its first Founding Fifty inductees Saturday night at the Burke Riding Club’s annual gala. The Founding Fifty was created to honor those who have spent countless hours supporting rodeo and 4-H in Gregory County. Inductees are recognized on the Wide Open Spaces website, in local newspapers, and with a handmade custom sign that will hang permanently on the rodeo grounds.
