Sometime in the early 1880’s, a small band of rustlers who stole both cattle and horses west of the Missouri River, organized into what would be by 1900 a large and innovative gang of thieves. They were able to steal thousands of livestock in a year from their neighbors in south central South Dakota.

Rivers joins Gregory Police Department

Dean Rivers is the newest addition to the Gregory Police Department. Coming to South Dakota from the state of Washington, Rivers said that he chose South Dakota because of the lower cost of living and more relaxed atmosphere.

Request for financial assistance is denied The board received an application for financial assistance for medical expenses, but a review of the form revealed that the individual does not fall within the guidelines set forth.
