The Gregory County FFA chapter recently completed a Bloom in Every Room project for nursing home and assisted living residents in Gregory County. After school, the chapter members put together small floral arrangements at Bouquets and Brushstrokes in Burke. Bouquets and Brushstrokes donated the flowers and vases, and the Ag Leadership class in Gregory made kindness cards and delivered the valentines. In total 75 arrangements were delivered to residents in Avera Rosebud Country Care Center and Silver Threads in Gregory and Haisch Haus in Bonesteel.

When I was in medical school, I learned that a shocking number of people would die or be admitted to a nursing home after a hip fracture. Even today, a hip fracture can be a devastating event for an older American.

More than 1,900 University of North Dakota (UND) students have been recognized for outstanding academic achievement by being named to the 2025 fall semester Dean’s List. The UND Dean’s List comprises students whose grade point averages are in the top 15 percent of the enrollment in each of the University’s degree-granting Colleges and Schools. A student must have completed no fewer than 12 hours of academic work for the semester, of which eight or more hours must be graded work rather than “satisfactory/unsatisfactory.”

Outlines Board Expectations Today, Governor Larry Rhoden appointed Kory Bierle and Ross Cuny to the South Dakota Brand Board. The Governor also outlined his expectations for continued improvement in the Brand Board’s operations.
