Spikers edge Lyman in five-set thriller

The Gregory Spikers battled through five hard-fought sets to defeat the Lyman Lady Red Raiders in a thrilling matchup Thursday, September 4, 2025. The offense was led by Regan Graesser, who tallied an impressive 4 kills, while Dani VanDer-Werff added 13 kills to the scoreboard.

Cheer and dance team gets a taste of elite competition

On Thursday, September 4, 2025, the Gregory cheer and dance team took their pom and hip-hop routines to Mitchell’s AA and A schools combined competition. The coaches and girls took the score sheets from the competition in Gregory and added difficulty to pom and adjusted hip-hop a little throughout the week. Their work paid off as the scores and comments from the judges’ sheets were very informative.

Injuries, penalties plague Gorillas in loss to P-G

The Gregory Gorillas were first on the board in Friday’s loss to Platte-Geddes in Platte. Landon Keiser put six points on the Gregory side with a 13-yard touchdown run in the second quarter that came after a hard-fought defensive battle in the scoreless first quarter.

Spikers look toward 2025 season with many returning veterans

The Gregory Spiker volleyball team enters the 2025 season with plenty of experience and leadership, returning a strong group of seven seniors who bring talent and maturity to the court. All-around standouts Dani VanDerWerff and Regan Graesser will once again be key contributors, while Ella Sperl returns after a solid year running the offense as setter.

Cheer & dance team gets first competition under their belt

The Gregory High School cheer and dance team kicked off their season with a home meet on Saturday, August 30, 2025, with three very good crowdpleasing routines. In the cheer competition, they were missing a girl and kept their skills at a prep level, finishing in fourth place of the five teams.

Gorillas dominate Thunderhawks in Friday night win

The Gregory Gorillas defense shone in the team’s 51-0 win over the Tripp-Delmont/Armour/Andes Central/Dakota Christian Thunderhawks Friday evening, August 29, 2025, at home. Landon Keiser, Jabin Talsma, Dale Smikle, Taos Weborg, Eli Ekroth, Avery Senglemann, and Jes VanderPol all had tackles for lost yardage in the game.
