PRESS RELEASE September 21, 2026 CORRECTION OF MISINFORMATION There is substantial misinformation circulating in the community concerning Tripp County Water User District’s (the “District”) processes and procedures for approval of taps and concerning the impact on other users of the approval of a tap for a proposed hog facility northwest of Winner. The District issues this release to ensure the District’s users and the community at large are aware of the facts.

Sept. 19, 2026, MITCHELL, S.D. – The South Dakota National Guard welcomed home more than 120 soldiers of the South Dakota Army National Guard’s 665th Support Maintenance Company (SMC) after 308 days away from their families.

The Dallas Horseman’s Club held its annual awards ceremony and potluck supper Sunday, September 13, 2026, marking the completion of the club’s 2026 play day season. The club’s play days provide an opportunity for young riders to compete with their horses in a variety of events while building riding and horsemanship skills.

Burial will follow in the Czech National Cemetery in Tyndall, SD at 2:30 p.m. Kotrba-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
