The South Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs will be hosting a state bridge dedication ceremony to honor Combat Veteran LCPL Conrad Lee Flying Horse. The ceremony will be held Saturday, May 15, 2021, at 10:00 a.m.

The Gregory track team traveled to Platte for the Platte/Geddes Relays on Saturday, April 24. Finally, we caught some good weather to compete and our team took full advantage of the day.

As a group of students took it upon themselves to rewrite such classics as “Romeo & Juliet,” “Frankenstein,” and “Phantom of the Opera” to make the stories more relevant to today’s audiences, the results were more comical than the original authors intended.

The family of Allen Boes would like to express our thanks to Dr. Tubbs and his staff for their great care of Allen for the last few months. To the Parkside Manor staff for the wonderful care you gave Allen. To Asera Care for your care and comforting and the veterans pinning you did at the home which meant a lot to him. Thank you to the American Legion from Stuart for doing the military honors at the cemetery. Thank you to the ladies at the Herrick American Legion and the Immanual Lutheran ladies for serving and helping with the lunch afterwards. To Mike Karbo and Dave Engelmeyer of Clausen Funeral Home for their service and guidance, and Pastor Leif Hasskarl for his guidance, spiritual support and the wonderful services. To our friends and neighbors for their visits and food brought to our homes. It was all very much appreciated.

On Friday, April 23, Governor Kristi Noem joined Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry and eight other state attorneys general in suing to prevent the Biden Administration from establishing a damages value to the “social cost of greenhouse gases,” which would kill thousands of American jobs and impose more burdens and harms to the American people.
