Although he is now retired, one of his visions is becoming a reality, ensuring that those working in the criminal justice system have access to the resources they need to help people with mental illness, regardless of where they live.
The Browns are coming to Prairie View Gospel Barn

It’s truly a family affair when The Browns hit the stage with their music. The musical stylings of Adam, Michaela, Shelly, and Andrew exude excitement on the stage, and offer an experience to all who hear them. The Browns deliver the powerful message of the gospel through word and song that engage audiences of all ages.
Hipp Theater to open this weekend

The new projector has arrived, and Hipp Theatre will open this weekend. Friday and Saturday, October 29 and 30, the theater will show The Addams Family 2 as a free movie, a sort of treat, not trick, to celebrate Halloween.
Four GHS students were selected to be a part of the All-State Chorus

Four Gregory students will have the opportunity to be part of All-State Chorus in Rapid City on October 29-30. Katherine Stevicks, Jordan Spann, Christian Spann, and Eli Barreto were selected to be part of the nearly 1,000 person choir.
Amy Berg makes big city service available in Gregory

Amy Berg is the proprietor of a new business in town, Beau Casse’, The Sculpted Body. At Beau Casse’, which means “beautifully broken,” Berg uses Cryo 21 equipment to offer treatment for pain and inflammation, toning and tightening, cryolipolysis (fat termination), and cryo-rejuvenating facials.
Halloween arrives this week

Although Halloween will finally arrive on Sunday, trick or treating opportunities began on Tuesday evening with Avera Rosebud Country Care Center’s Door-to-Door Adventure and the Chamber of Commerce’s Trunk or Treat. Silver Threads has saved their treating fun for the actual date of Halloween, Sunday evening from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

Dear Editor: South Dakotans, it’s time for a change! It doesn’t matter whether you blame the Democrats or the Republicans, the fact is, our congress is not doing their job. Politicians fussing, and fighting, and namecalling, and railing against the opposing party is getting old, and it’s just not funny anymore. This won’t change until we make a change. So, it’s time - vote them ALL out of office!

The regular meeting of the Gregory City Council was held at 6 p.m., Monday, October 6, 2025. Councilman Stacy Boes stated that the street department has some items that need to be surplussed, specifically mentioning the old yellow truck, which is still being used, and an old generator.
