Pool fund continues to grow

After the Bronco fundraiser, a matching pledge challenge up to $200,000 was issued, beginning July 9, 2024. Since that time, various fundraisers have been held, and the total amount of money toward the matching funds is currently at $79,867.30, but this does not include any donations made during the month of July.

A Note From Cottonwood Corners

George Catlin was an American painter and traveler who spent much of his career studying the customs of Native Americans under threat from the expansion of the United States of America. Catlin made numerous trips on steamers up and down the Missouri River where he came into contact with countless natives which he recorded on canvas. He is most famous for his portraits of Native American leaders, many of which are now in the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, DC.

Gregory County family chosen to compete on national game show

Dewey and Kim Ludeman of Fairfax, SD, daughter Kacie and husband Dan Clousing, and nephew Wes Matthews proved themselves as formidable opponents with the right mixture of fun and knowledge to participate in a national game show.

12U White team wins state title

After breezing past Rapid City Dynamite 20-0, Sturgis 11-2, and Rapid City Dakota Queens 11-0, at the Girls 12U Softball State Tournament held in Rapid City, SD, July 19-20, 2025, Gregory White again faced Sturgis in the championship game, coming up with a 7-4 victory to earn the state title.

Long overdue, park bathroom updates now complete

With only three members of the Gregory City Council present for the regular meeting on Monday evening, July 21, 2025, Councilman Alex Hamilton was reached by phone in order to obtain a quorum. Facelift completed in time for tournaments The park bathrooms have been updated.
