By Ronda Graber On Nov. 18 the oral interpretation team traveled to Pierre to compete at regions. The eight students qualified in six of the seven categories for the state festival to be held at Sturgis High School this Friday and Saturday.

Questions about the city’s tax discretionary and tax rebate formulas were finally put to rest at the regular meeting of the Gregory City Council on Monday evening, December 2, 2024. The topic had been discussed at a previous meeting, but required some detective work to find out what happened to them. Although the rebates were no longer being offered, the information had never been removed from the city’s website, causing confusion as to why they were no longer available.

The Community Christmas tree is up at BankWest and ready to be surrounded by presents for area families in need. Sponsored by the Gregory Community Club, this yearly gift drive is still going strong, thanks to the dedication of its members.

The South Dakota Department of Education’s division of Child and Adult Nutrition Services is seeking sponsors for a federally funded program that provides nutritious meals and snacks to children in low-income areas during the summer months.
