Gregory County Historical Society receives donation for addition

On Memorial Day, people across South Dakota and the nation will gather for parades, backyard barbeques, and the unofficial start of summer. American flags will wave proudly in our communities, cemeteries will be decorated with flowers, and families will plan for long weekends spent together.

The Missouri River is probably the longest navigable river in the United States, the distance from its mouth, twenty-five miles above St. Louis, Missouri, to Fort Benton, Montana, the practical head of navigation, is 3,185 miles.

The South Dakota Board of Economic Development approved two SD Works loans to support business expansion and local economic development in De Smet and Lemmon. The projects will support capital investment, business continuity, and new employment opportunities in South Dakota communities.
