Keeping and bearing arms for generations

Growing up in rural South Dakota, shooting sports and hunting were a big part of how I was raised. Some of my favorite memories with my family are of our time hunting and shooting guns. And one of my earliest memories is pheasant hunting with my Grandma Dorris.

Open letter to Dakota Ethanol

I’m writing to you as a life-long resident and farmer in Lake County- Orland township. I’m concerned about Dakota Ethanol’s (DE) support and partnership with Summit Carbon Solutions (SCS). SCS is an out-of-state LLC with large amounts of foreign investment. Their business approach has been one of intimidation, coercion, and in some cases, threats. The landowners and farmers opposing the CO2 pipelines are residents with farming pedigrees that are as extensive and broad as any of you on the DE board. They are farmers, legislators, home owners, county commissioners, first responders and the list goes on. To say they are a vocal minority is itself an insult and a form of intimidation. They have filled numerous venues with large attendance. They have attended PUC and legislative hearings. They have worked with county commissions on local concerns. They have formed an easement team working together on common legal concerns. They have informed the media and the general public with accurate and up to date information. They have done so donating their own time, travel expense, and money.
