Changing seasons may be hard

Letting go can be hard. Often, we hear the people in our lives telling us to “just let it go.” But it seems so difficult for the person holding on. Andrea Mathews, LPC, NCC shares, “we tend to believe that the reason we hold on is because of what someone did or didn’t do, because of the loss of someone.” We believe so much that we can change the situation, because if we cannot make it better, the alternative is grief and adjustment. But what if this season is not meant to follow us to the next?

GHS homecoming week activities begins on Monday, September 26

It’s that time of year again. The weather is still warm, but cool days and nights are becoming more frequent. The leaves will soon begin to change. White women (or so the stereotype goes) are dreaming of pumpkin spice. And with all of that comes the cherished tradition of Homecoming.

TIF District is a go in Grandview Addition

The regular meeting of the Gregory City Council was held at 6:00 p.m., Monday, September 19, 2022, at City Hall. During this meeting, a public hearing was held to discuss the establishment of a TIF district in the Grandview Addition, but no one from the public attended.

South Dakota tribes PUBLIC NOTICE buy land near Wounded Knee massacre site

South Dakota tribes Two American Indian tribes in South Dakota have agreed to purchase 40 acres of land near the Wounded Knee National Historic Landmark on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. The Oglala Sioux tribe will pay $255,000, and the Cheyenne River Sioux tribe will pay $245,000 for the site, and agree to petition the U.S.

Gregory cross country team participates in Augustana Twilight Meet

Gregory had some runner participate in the Augustana Twilight meet held Friday, September 2, at Yankton Trail Park in Sioux Falls. In the boys varsity division, Fin Adams was Gregory’s top finisher in 133rd place with a personal record of 18:02.

Gregory cross country runs at Scotland

The Gregory cross country team traveled to Scotland to run in the Scotland Invitational on Tuesday, September 6. In the middle school girls race Kennley Sedlacek came in fifth place with a 9:20, and Brynn Bearshield came across in 28th with a 11:43.
