Governor Noem successfully treated for back injury at Mayo Clinic

On Monday, September 12, Governor Kristi Noem announced that following several weeks of medical treatment in South Dakota for a back injury, the Governor underwent successful back surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Commissioners decide that 50 mph is slow enough

One road closure requested Rachelle Norberg presented a petition on behalf of her clients James and Nancy Mittelstaedt to vacate a road in the unorganized township of Rhoades.

School district receives full grant for new emergency notification system

The Gregory School District Board of Education met at 5:30 p.m., Monday, September 12, 2022, in the high school conference room. Public hearing set for $1.8m tax district: “school will be held harmless”

The City of Gregory will hear public comments September 19th for or against a Tax Increment Financing District. If adopted, the TIF will direct $1.8 million in taxes back into city coffers that would otherwise be shared with the county and Gregory Public School District.

Gregory City Council gets an education in TIFs

The regular meeting of the Gregory City Council was held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at City Hall. Coffee, coloring, eating, cooking, Legos, discussing - the library has it all Librarian Tara Engel indicated that Lego Club numbers are down because some of the regulars have football practice.
