Determined to be on the same page with God

Last year was challenging for many, and as we move ahead in 2022, may we dedicate our minds and hearts to continue drawing as near to God as we can. Psalm 24:7 promises, “The angel of the Lord encamps round about them that fear Him, and He delivers them.” This is referring to the reverential fear that many Christians have become too busy to think about. Let us not become distracted or discouraged as the enemy is trying to weaken and scatter God’s people. Pray for spiritual sensitivity so that you will not allow the intensity of the Holy Spirit’s fire within you to dwindle to a lukewarm ember. Where are the living sacrifices, and where is the boldness and desperation to walk with God? Guard your heart and never lose your fervency to obey God or constantly long for His presence. GHS students participate in vocal contest, several bring home medals, three with perfect scores

On Wednesday, February 2, 2022, twenty-one members of the high school chorus performed at vocal contest in Kimball. Of the 20 events performed, 16 earned a medal. The following students received a medal on their solo: Ravyn Oliver, Kodi Timanus, Sapphire Kenzy, Katherine Stevicks, Sierra Rencountre, Nathan Fortuna, Christian Spann (perfect score), Eli Barreto, and Jordan Spann (perfect score). Just missing out on a medal by one point were Summer Janis and Jamison VanderPol.

SDSU announces dean’s list

The following students have been named to the dean’s list for academic excellence after the fall 2021 semester at South Dakota State University. To earn dean’s list distinctions in SDSU’s colleges, students must have completed a minimum of 12 credits and must have earned at least a 3.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Students with an asterisk received a perfect 4.0 GPA.
