Gregory County Prairie Patriots take on Burke Lake

Armed with chain saws, shovels, trimmers, a lawn mower, a tractor, and other tools, the Gregory County Prairie Patriots showed up for a clean-up day at Burke Lake on Sunday, September 12, 2021. They spent a couple hours removing dead branches and trees, cleaning up debris, and mowing an area of the park as part of their multi-stage clean-up and renovation efforts to return the park to its former beauty.

Voters could be asked about changes in state drug laws

Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg has introduced two ballot measures that could change the way law enforcement handles illegal drug possession and ingestion cases in South Dakota. The measures would make ingesting a controlled substance a petty offense instead of a felony and possession of a controlled substance a class one misdemeanor.

Sons of American Legion to hold meeting

The Sons of the American Legion will hold their monthly meeting on Thursday, September 16th, at the Legion Post in Gregory. The meeting will start at 8:00 p.m. and all members and potential members are encouraged to attend.
