The Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources (DANR) in cooperation with AgUnited for South Dakota, South Dakota Dairy Producers, South Dakota Corn Utilization Council, Central Plains Dairy Foundation, and East River Electric Power Cooperative have released an economic contribution study of South Dakota Agriculture.

South Dakota lawmakers looking to remake the state’s voterpassed medical marijuana law previewed a coming battle in the Legislature Wednesday, September 1, as they recommended outlawing growing medical marijuana in homes and allowing local governments to prohibit dispensaries.

The Gregory Community Foundation is looking for help from area residents to increase the Foundation’s ability to fund community projects. Once again residents are asked to help out by donating their Rosebud Electric capital credit checks to the foundation, The donation of this unexpected income will help the Foundation make grants to organizations that will benefit the community for years to come. Two of the most recent grants include a check for $15,000 to complete the pledge of $25,000 for the new hospital and commitment of $24,000 to raise funds for the new swimming pool.
