Graveside services for Arlene Kuechler were held in the White Chapel Cemetery in Gladstone, MO.
She was born on March 13, 1922, at home. Her grandmother did the delivery, being the midwife for the area. Her parents were Alex and Olga (Sachse) Donason of Mills, NE.
Arlene attended grade school north of Mills, NE, riding horses to school with her sister Lorraine and cousin Vera. She graduated from Gregory High School in 1939. She continued her education at Chillicothe Business College in Missouri. After completing business college, she worked in Washington, D.C.
Arlene met Lorenz (Larry) Kuechler, and they were married on May 1, 1948, in St. Louis, MO, afterwards moving to Kansas City where Larry attended the Kansas City Art Institute. They traveled the world together, loved dancing, theatre, art, and music.
Arlene was held in high esteem by many. Her sense of humor, smile, and laughter kept us all going.
Arlene Faye (Donason) Kuechler, age 99, passed away on Thursday, November 4, 2021.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Steve’s wife Kathy of Mills, NE, Jack Wenger of Gregory, SD, Judy (Mark) Moebeck of Webster Groves, MO, Mark (Teresa) Wenger of Mills, NE, and their families, and Mandy Lauer (daughter of Debra) of Kansas City, MO. Mandy lived nearby and was especially close to Arlene.
She was preceded in death by her husband Larry, her parents, her sister Lorraine and husband Norman Wenger, nephew Steve Wenger, niece Debra (Wenger) Lauer, and great-nephew Scott Wenger.
