Doris Jaros

Doris M. (Harvey) Jaros passed away August 2, 2021, at Lutheran Hospice Center in Wheatridge, CO, at the age of 89 years old.

She was born October 25, 1931, in Clearfield, SD, to Clarence and Matie Harvey.

Doris married Gerald Jaros in 1950. To this union, six children-David, Robert, Douglas, Marsha, Marla and Margo were born.

Doris worked at Burke Community Hospital for 28 years as a nursing assistant. After Gerald passed away in 1998, she moved to Arvada, CO, to be closer to her daughters.

Her many hobbies included sewing, volunteering, baking and traveling to see her children. Doris enjoyed playing bingo and making banana bread to share.

Doris and Gerald enjoyed playing cards and taking motorcycle day trips and going to Sturgis Days with Fred and Velesta Schmidt. They traveled around the USA every year to visit their children/grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, David (Ramona) Jaros of Gregory, SD, children David, Jaros, Jr., daughter Ashlynn and Jennifer (Myron) Songer, children Dawson, Alexander and Addison, Gregory Co., SD, Samantha (Jason) Jaros Sheahan, daughter Alexis, Garnet, KS, Marsha (BP) Rocke, Columbia, Maryland, children DiAndra (Steve) Polk, Glenn Burnie, MD, Ericka (Curtis) Rocke, Columbia, MD, Marla (Patrick) Raftery, Trenton, MI, and sons Timothy (Nikki) Raftery, children Conor and Benjamin, Bryan (Roseann) Raftery, sons Bryce and Carter, and Sean (Stephanie) Raftery and Margo Jaros, Golden, CO, two sisters Mildred (Gordon) Davis, Burke, SD, and Dorothy (Larry) Krumpus, Colome, SD, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Gerald, her husband of 48 years, her parents Clarence and Matie, two sons Robert and Douglas, one granddaughter and one daughter-in-law Vicki.
