A graveside memorial service for Floyd Wulf, will be held at the Larchwood Cemetery in Larchwood, IA at 10:30 a.m. on Friday June 11, 2021. There will be a lunch served at the Larchwood City Park following the service. There will be a subsequent memorial gathering at the family ranch in Herrick, SD, this summer, details will be provided at a later date.

In lieu of sending flowers, please consider making a donation towards a memorial project that the family will be giving to the Herrick American Legion.

Floyd Dean Wulf was born on February 10, 1951, in Rock Rapids, IA, to Emil and Liz Wulf. He was a graduate of West Lyon High School in 1969, and remained close with many of his classmates. Floyd was a member of the United States Army after volunteering for the draft in 1970. He served two tours in Germany, and was the recipient of the National Defense Ribbon Good Conduct Medal.

For 25 years, Floyd worked with Wulf Bros (construction) in Larchwood, IA. Floyd was very close to his ten siblings, extended Wulf family and many nieces and nephews. He went on to marry Jo in 2000 and inherited the role of step-dad to her three children.

Floyd spent the last 20 years as a rancher in Herrick, SD, where he quickly became a local and enjoyed socializing with the coffee boys each morning. Floyd enjoyed fishing. He was always dropping a line in the ranch stock dam and made countless fishing trips with his brothers and close friends. He never missed a deer hunt and recognized it as an opportunity to bring family and friends from near and afar, together.

Floyd Dean Wulf, age 70, passed away on June 2, 2021, on his ranch in Herrick, SD.

Floyd is survived by his wife Jo Wulf (Sandager), step-son Sheldon Norton (Desirae), step-daughter Carolyn Gossen (Cody), step-son Andrew Norton, six grandchildren; Connor, Cate, Rowan, Charley, Cullen and Cole, ten siblings; Helen Sharp, Leo (Wanda) Wulf, Robert (Linda) Wulf, Kenneth Wulf, Donald (Cathy) Wulf, Ronald Wulf, Betty (Mike) McDonnell, Clifford (Carol) Wulf, Ray (Tina) Wulf, twin brother Lloyd (Juanita) Wulf, and countless nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Emil and Liz Wulf, brother-in-law, William Sharp, and two sisters-in-law,Yvonne Wulf and Jan Wulf.
