Jeanine Littau

Graveside services for Jeanine Littau were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Mountain View Cemetery in Rapid City, SD. Isburg Funeral Homes & Isburg Crematory of Spearfish, SD, was in charge of arrangements. She was born March 12, 1944, to Ben and Isabel (Stockman) Siren. Though she grew up in Gregory, SD, graduating in 1962,she spent most of her life in Naknek and Wasilla, Alaska. Jeanine was passionate about music and reading, loving both to the end. She started the band program in Bristol Bay and was always proud of the program and the amazing students she had in band, as well as all other classes she taught – from language arts and Spanish to elementary grades and nearly everything in-between. She never wanted to stop learning, achieving a doctorate and two master’s degrees as well as reading and attending writing conferences. She and Tony enjoyed traveling throughout the US and Europe, but only after fishing season was over.

Dr. Jeanine Clare (Siren) Littau, EdD, passed away on January 17, 2023, in Grover Heights, MN, at 78 years of age.

Jeanine was preceded in death by her husband, Anton “Tony” Littau, parents Isabel and Ben Siren, and her grandson, Kyle Johnson.

Jeanine is survived by her daughter Kelly (Littau) Marsolek, son-inlaw Brian Marsolek, grandchildren Lorena and Alex Marsolek, and her brother, Don Siren.
