Joyce Miles

Joyce Miles was born on September 20, 1927 in San Francisco, CA, to Eleanor and Frank Spiller.

After graduating from Mission High School, she worked as a secretary for Baker and Hamilton in San Francisco, CA.

In 1948, she married Everett Miles and together they had one child, Steven Miles. In 2015, Joyce moved to Silver Threads in Gregory, SD and spent the past four years at the TLC Assisted Living Facility in Burke, SD.

During her years in Mill Valley, CA, Joyce was an avid tennis player, dog sitter, Avon lady, board member of the Alto Sanitary District, and world traveler. She also enjoyed gardening and feeding the neighborhood squirrels and birds.

She passed away on February 25, 2021. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband,

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Everett in 1996 and her son, Steven in 2012.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law and close friend, Marlene Miles of Gregory, SD and many other friends in both South Dakota and California.

A private memorial service will be held in Mill Valley, CA, at a later date.
