Kenneth and Bonnie Endes

A celebration of life for Kenneth and Bonnie Endes was held on October 1, 2022, in Bakersfield, CA. Kenneth Taylor Endes was born on April 1, 1938, to Theodore Edwin Endes and Julia Catherine (Rose) Endes in Mills, NE. Kenneth was the first child, followed by six siblings: Seldon Endes, Lester Endes, Judith Wilson, Danny Endes, Cathy Hood, and David Endes. Bonnie Ilene Endes was born on February 1, 1941, to William Fred and Dorthy Alta (Dunn) Schrader in Brocksburg, NE.

She was the eighth of twelve siblings: Mildred Kettlemann, Stanley Schrader, Robert Schrader, Ruth Krejci, Darrell Schrader, Marlyn Schrader, James Schrader, Leroy Schrader, Howard Schrader, Violet Brumbaugh, and Myrna Zimbelman.

Kenneth married Bonnie Schrader on December 12, 1959, in Gregory, SD. In 1962, they moved to Bakersfield, CA.

They were the parents of Cheryl (Bryan) Gors, Lester (SuzAnne) Endes, and Gordon Endes, and grandparents to six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Kenneth owned his own construction company for many years and enjoyed working beside his sons. He enjoyed working and farming on his land. He also loved his horses, especially his Belgians.

Bonnie was a homemaker, and enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and quilting. She loved the outdoors and teaching all her grandchildren about nature.

Kenneth is survived by sons Lester and Gordon; son-in-law Bryan; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sister Kathy; brothers Lester and Danny; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by daughter Cheryl (Nov. 29, 2021); parents Julia and Theodore; sister Judith Hood; and brothers Seldon and David.

Bonnie is survived by sons Lester and Gordon; son-in-law Bryan; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters Mildred Kittleman, and Violet Brumbaugh; brothers Darrell and Joe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenny (Sept. 6, 2021); daughter Cheryl Gores (Nov. 29, 2021); parents Dorothy and William Schrader; sisters Myrna Zimbelman and Ruth Krejci; brothers Stanley, Robert, James, Leroy, and Howard; and numerous other family members.
