Leland Faatz

Leland Ray Faatz was born January 24, 1942, in Burke, SD, to Leon and Della (Fode) Faatz and passed away on January 9, 2023, in Joplin, MO, at the age of 80 years.

He was married to Linda O’Quinn on May 12, 1984. They shared thirty-eight years together.

He served in the US Army and earned a Purple Heart.

He is survived by his wife Linda; three sons and their families; sisters: Lavina Bahm of Gregory, SD, and Leona Besmer of Bertrand NE; sister- in-law Betty (Dana) Davis of Lebanon, MO; eleven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by three brothers: Lavern, Leroy; and Larry Faatz; one sister, Lyla Jones; sister-in-law Marilyn Breeden; one son, Rick Rumfelt; and three grandchildren: Ricky, Randy, and Rodney Rumfelt.
