A memorial service for Louie Krueger was held on Saturday, September 4, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Fairfax, SD, with Pastor Philip Henning officiating.

Interment was in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Fairfax, SD.

Louie was born April 30, 1925, in Pierce, NE, to Martin and Lydia (Odenbach) Krueger. Louie was educated in St. Charles, SD, grade schools and attended St. Charles High School. He married Lila Hoppe on April 30, 1950 in Fairfax, SD; she survives. Louie was a Union Carpenter for 60 years. Louie was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Clinton, IA.

He enjoyed playing horseshoes, and in 1993 he got second place in the Horseshoe World Championships. He was an avid woodworker.

Louie M. Krueger, 89, of Fulton, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at his home.

Survivors include one daughter, Janette (John) Hunter, Yoakum, TX; two sons, Jerry (Lynn) Krueger, Fort Myers, FL, and Gene (Susan) Krueger, LeClaire, IA; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Delores Stoltenberg, NE; two brothers, Lenhardt Krueger, Fort Collins, CO, and William (JoAnn) Krueger, Payette, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Leon and Herbert Krueger.
