Lydia Hazuka

Inurnment for Lydia Hazuka was held on Saturday, October 15, 2022, in the IOOF Cemetery. Kotrba-Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Lydia was born on April 08, 1919, in Colome, SD, to John and Clara Stritecky. Lydia married Charles Hazuka. They farmed in Burke, SD, moving to Gregory to retire. They were married until his death in 1993. Two children were born to this union, Garry (Carol) Hazuka, and Marleen (Louis) James, all of Tyler, TX.

She passed away on September 22, 2022, at the age of 103 years, 5 months, and 14 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Agnes Chvatal, Adeline Toman, Sophie Havelka, and John Stritecky Jr.

Lydia is survived by her children; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
