Meryn Boyer

A memorial service for Meryn Boyer was held on Monday, October 11, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Kotrba-Smith Funeral Home in Gregory, SD.

Mary Aronson was in charge of registration. Kotrba-Smith Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Meryn Rheya Boyer was born August 30, 2021, to Brandon and Shannon Boyer. Meryn weighed 1 pound 4 ounces.

Brandon was so excited yet scared saying “she was born screaming at the doctors like she owned the place.”

During her 33 days of life she overcame many obstacles, showing them all what a fighter she was. At one month old Meryn was breathing on her own and taking half an ounce of milk at each feeding. She reached 2 pounds 1 ounce.

Plans for her to go home were being made. Those plans changed as things went terribly wrong.

In October 3, 2021, the family said their good-byes. Their tiny angel was at peace.

Meryn is survived by her parents Brandon and Shannon Boyer, her big brother Owen, grandparents Dina Moos of Wisconsin and Rick and Dawn Boyer of Armour, SD, great- grandmother Virginia Rash of Gregory, SD, and aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
