Paul Lane

Paul R. Lane, age 92 of Kearney, NE, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Brookstone Gardens in Kearney, NE. Private family graveside services will be held at Kearney Cemetery.

O’Brien Straatmann Redinger Funeral and Cremation Services were in charge of arrangements.

Paul was born April 29, 1929 in Yankton, SD, to Raymond and Sophia (Kubal) Lane. He graduated from Gregory High School in Gregory, SD. He furthered his education at Kearney State College with a degree in industrial arts.

Paul was united in marriage to Leona Ring on

September 23, 1951 in Winner, SD. Paul worked in production printing at the University of Nebraska in Kearney for 25 years. He enjoyed building model airplanes and flying.

He is survived by his wife, Leona Lane; children, Val Lane and wife, Sherry, Kevin Lane, and Julie Arnold and husband, Monte; grandchildren, Jennifer Lane, Brian Lane and wife Roxie, Kenny Lane and wife, Gloria, Adam Lane and wife, Michelle, Spencer Lane, and Emily Arnold; three great-grandchildren; sister, Imogene Mendlik; as well as nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Douglas Lane; sister, Linda Lynaugh; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ed and Mary Ring.
