Children of Martin Joseph Rezac and Leila May Hysell were laid to rest at a memorial service held on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m., in the Herrick Cemetery with Pastor Bill Serr officiating. Military honors were conferred by the Gregory Legion, Dallas Legion, Herrick Legion, and the Honors Team.
The children’s early childhood and schooling was in Gregory, Winner, Chamberlain, Reliance, SD and Buffalo, WY. Their father was a heavy equipment mechanic/welder on road construction projects including Big Bend Dam and Highway 47 between Reliance and Fort Thompson, SD. The family left Reliance, SD in 1966 for Golden, CO, where he worked for Coors Brewery. The family moved to Lakewood, CO, while he worked on the highway (Loveland Pass) by Denver and the Eisenhower Tunnel going thru the mountains. He also worked seven years on the Alaskan Pipeline. The children attended schools in the Denver area then went their separate ways but always stayed close to Denver.
