Rodger Adams

A memorial funeral mass for Rodger Adams was held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Columbkille Catholic Church in Papillion, NE, with a celebration of life following at the Adams’ residence.

He was born on March 21, 1952, in Gregory, SD, to Ken and Leila Adams. Rodger was a graduate of Gregory High School and later attended South Dakota State University where he majored in history.

Rodger spent the majority of his career in appliance sales and service, including his most recent position as a client services manager at Ferguson. He was known for his excellent customer service skills and his ability to make his clients feel valued.

Rodger L. Adams, age 71, of Papillion, NE, passed away on April 25, 2023.

He is survived by his wife, Kate Adams; children Stephen Adams, Michael Adams, and Mary Elizabeth Adams; granddaughter Avery Adams; siblings Mike Adams (Barb), Bruce Adams (Glenda Joy), and Jeannette Sinkular; niece April Jennings (Jerrett); and great-nieces Morgan, Olivia, and Harper.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister-in-law Glenda Jean Adams, and his brother-in-law, Barry Sinkular.

Rodger was an avid reader and most enjoyed history, biography, spy novels, and National Geographic. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, word games, and corn hole. In his younger years, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing, golf, watching sports, and watching his children’s many activities. He was a huge fan of Jeopardy, and Antiques Roadshow.

Rodger worshipped at St. Columbkille Catholic Church where he was an usher for 20+ years.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Omaha Mercy High School, Omaha Creighton Prep High School, Child Saving Institute, or UNMC Cancer Research.
