A memorial service for Shirley Yeigh was held on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the United Church of Christ in Fairfax, SD. Emmett Kotrba was officiant.
Music was provided by Cheryl Jons, organist. Inurnment was held in the Highland Cemetery in Fairfax, SD. Clausen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Shirley Jean was born in Bonesteel, SD, on December 8, 1940, to Clifford and Rosie (Janousek) Bush. She grew up, and graduated from Fairfax High School.
On April 3, 1960, Shirley was united in marriage to Raymond Keith Yeigh. To this union four children were born: Rick, Eugene, Robert, and Jennie Rose.
Shirley enjoyed her children, grandchildren, reading, puzzles, gardening, fancy needlework, computer games, and fishing.
Shirley Jean (Bush) Yeigh, age 81, passed away on January 11, 2022, at the Arbor Care Center in O’Neill, NE.
She is survived by her children: Rick and wife Sherry of Sioux Falls, SD; Eugene of Bonesteel, SD; Jennie Rose and husband Richard Langdeaux of Wagner, SD; her grandchildren: Betsey, Nathan, Tonya, Clifford, Ryan, Angel, Tex, Richard Jr., and Marie; two great-grandchildren; sisters: Rose Westra of Sioux Falls, SD; Louise Anderson (Jay) of Gretna, NE; Linda Remter (Leo) of Fairfax, SD; Carol Shanahan (Jimmy) of Sioux Falls, SD; brother Stanley (Marsha) of Pensacola, FL; sister-in-law Shirley Bush of Topeka, KS; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Robert, great-grandson Lyle Eugene, brothers: Leroy, Lyle, Merle, and Everett; and sister Edith.
