Gregory Co. Club Baseball goes 1-1 for the weekend

The Gregory County varsity club baseball team had trouble with the Belle Fourche Broncs in Martin on Sunday, May 10, losing 0-8. The Broncs got on the board in the top of the fourth inning after Trig Thomsen grounded into a fielder’s choice, Tate Thomsen singled down the right field line, and a runner scored on a wild pitch.

Scotland The Gregory varsity boys golf team competed at Dawson’s Creek Golf Course in Scotland on May 1, battling through cool conditions while narrowly missing a team placement. Leading the Gorillas was Jacob Klein with a round of 91.

The 2026 Howard Wood Dakota Relays felt like a roller coaster of performances, according to Head Coach Kurt Stukel. “We had some great moments, along not so great moments.” Asia VanDerWerff ran a very clean set of 300m hurdles and achieved a personal best of 47.56.

Gregory Co. Club baseball took Sunday’s (May 3) game in dramatic fashion with a 2-1 walk-off victory over the Wagner/Avon/ Lake Andes varsity Raiders. The game was tied at one in the bottom of the seventh when Aiden Frasch drew a walk, scoring one run.
