Gregory wrestlers shine at AAU State with 10 podium finishers, 2 champions

The South Dakota youth AAU state tournament was held over the weekend. Three weeks ago, 3500 young grapplers’ journey to the state tournament began. That number was whittled down to 1596 kids for state. To be a part of that number is a great accomplishment for these young athletes, as it does not come easy. Over the weekend, all of our wrestlers represented the great talent we have in the Gregory wrestling room. It was a big accomplishment to get 10 of our 17 on the awards stand. We had 4 individuals vying for that top spot.

Pool fund continues to grow

The pool fund is nearing the $700,000 mark, now reaching $689,333.59. Summer will be here before we know, and the city’s public works department is hoping (fingers crossed) to have the old pools back in business in time for the hot weather.
