Gregory Gorilla tracksters do well in Dan Lennon meet

A troop of Gorillas opened up the 2022 track season by traveling to Vermillion for the Dan Lennon Track Meet on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. This event is an indoor meet hosted inside the Dakota Dome on a 200 meter track.
All-conference basketball results announced

All-conference selections in girls’ basketball have been announced. Gregory placed 3 players on the all-conference teams. Jessy VanDerWerff, Brooklynn Kenzy, and Cassidy Keiser were selected to the South Central Conference allconference team. Jessy VanDerWerff and Brooklynn Kenzy were selected to the SESD all-conference team and Cassidy Keiser was selected to the honorable mention SESD conference team. Granchie is new pastor at Union Congregational Church

The Union Congregational Church in Gregory has a new pastor. Most recently from Cheyenne, Wyoming, John Granchie was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio, and left after high school to join the Air Force.
Shiver Me Timbers! Gregory Jr. High to Perform The Pirate Bride

Join the junior high play cast on a search for buried treasure for two nights this Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the Dixon Town Hall Theatre. See if you could make it as a swashbuckler in The Pirate Bride by Christie Hudon. Tickets will be available to purchase at the door for each night and are general admission only. The doors open each night at 7:00 p.m.
Tim Lovelace leads off the spring/summer lineup at Prairie View Gospel Barn

Grammy and Dove nominated storyteller and musician Tim Lovelace is set to perform at Prairie View Gospel Barn at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, April 3. Lovelace has been described as the most versatile comedian on stage today.
Fire department has a busy week

The Gregory Fire Department had several fires to deal with over the past several days. First, they managed a fire that they started themselves to demolish the Gregory Livestock Auction on Saturday. Then on Monday morning, they responded to a fire at the home of David and Ann Fogel when the fan motor of their furnace caught fire; most of the damage there was limited to smoke damage. Later Monday afternoon, strong winds again fanned some smoldering leaves into a fire at the tree dump. About one acre was burned during the three-and-a-half hours it took to extinguish it.
