The regular meeting of the Gregory City Council was held at 6:00 p.m., Monday, September 15, 2025, at City Hall. Library’s STEAM programs gaining in popularity The library gained five new patrons in the month of August, a little slower than previous months, according to Library Director Tara Engel.
Gregory Police Chief Ryan Cook and Officer Tom Claussen are teaming up with Wildlife Conservation Officer Cheyenne Colton to offer the HuntSAFE Hunter Safety and Firearm Education class for youth ages 12 and up (youth under 16 must take the course in order to buy a tag). The class will take place over the three evenings of September 24-26, 2025, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at the Gregory Memorial Auditorium Community Room.
The Gregory School District has some new, and a couple fairly new, staff members this year—two teachers, four paraprofessionals, two kitchen staff, and one maintenance/ custodian. Jaimie Braun Jaimie is one of the new paraprofessionals at the Gregory School District.
The Gregory Community Arts Council is raising a glass to laughter with its fall production of Drinking Habits by Tom Smith. This fast-paced farce blends sharp wit with slapstick humor, proving that a little faith, friendship, and a few bottles of “holy spirits” can turn even the most serious situations into side-splitting comedy.
We are thrilled to share that our Gregory County 4-H members proudly represented us at the South Dakota State Fair from Wednesday, August 27, 2025 to Monday, September 1, 2025. Our talented 4-H participants brought sheep, poultry, and display exhibits to the State Fair this year, showcasing their dedication and hard work.
